Mrs. Effie "Billie" Jennings Self, age 77 of Woodville, passed away, Thursday, May 8, 2008 in the Holiday Pines Nursing Home in Woodville. Mrs. Self was born September 21, 1930 in Crockett, Texas and was a resident of Woodville for the past 20 years. Mrs. Self was a housewife.
Survivors include her children Danny Self and wife Jenette, of Hillister, Connie Mack Self and wife Lana, of Shepherd, Jerry Wayne Self, of Hillister, Pondy Leindecker and husband Donald, of Rosenburg, Kathy Mayes and husband Jerry, of Lufkin, Rocky L. Self, of Lufkin and Jerry Wayne Self, Jr. and wife Ashley, of Hillister; 28 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by her husband Lee Self; son Billy Ray Self; parents Ed and Drucilla Jennings; and numerous brothers and sisters.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Effie "Billie" Jennings Self were held Sunday, May 11, at 1:00 p.m. in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Dr. Jerry House officiating.
