Funeral services for Mr. James (Jim) Berry, 79, of Naples, were December 15, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Naples, with the Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Mr. Berry was born January 27, 1934 in Naples. He died December 11, 2013 in a Tyler hospital. He was a retired employee of Lone Star Steel Company, a member of the First Baptist Church of Naples, a former mayor and city council member for Naples. He was the founder of the Naples Rodeo Association and a member of the Naples Boots and Saddle Club. Survivors include his wife, Frankie Tigert Berry of Naples; three sons and daughter-in-law, Allen and Stormie Berry of Longview, Joe and Angela Berry of Naples and David and Holli Berry of Naples; one brother, Robert Leslie Berry of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Billie Nell Berry of Naples; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Burial was conducted at the Concord Cemetery at Omaha, TX under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Naples.
