Gainesville resident, Herman Earl Harendt passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the age of sixty-seven. He was born in Brownfield, Texas on November 20, 1949, to Herman Douglas "Dick" and Carmen Lucille (West) Harendt. Herman grew up and attended school in Callisburg. He was self employed for many years and was a truck driver for over thirty years. He was a member of Vilott Baptist Church.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2nd at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. Rick Isham, Rev. Ronald West and Rev. Kija Price officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pall bearers will be Michael Harendt, Jason Harendt, James Rogers, Aaron Harendt, Christopher Kerekgyarto, Steven Kerekgyarto, Nicholas Kerekgyarto and Jared Harendt. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include his former wife, Cindy Harendt of Gainesville; children and their spouses, Michael and Marcie Harendt of Angleton, Jason and Shauna Harendt of Whitesboro Krista and James Rogers of McKinney and Aaron and Donna Harendt of Myra; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Robert Fleitman of Gainesville and Conna and Arnold McClinton of Callisburg and grandchildren, Chris, Steven and Nicholas Kerekgyarto, Jared and Michaela Harendt and Harley and Rayleigh Harendt. Herman was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Fletcher Harendt.
