Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Jorge Diaz, 72, of Gainesville, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 23, 2014 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Gary Picou officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Geo. J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home.
Mr. Jorge Diaz died 8/19/2014 in Gainesville, Texas. He was born 4-23-1942 in San Ciro de Acosta, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
Survivors include his spouse, Maria Felix Martinez Diaz of San Diego de la Union, Guanajuato, Mexico. Children Leticia Diaz, Antonio Diaz y Rosa Diaz, Carmen Torres y Filemon Torres, Rita Diaz y Alberto Limon, Catalina Centeno y Sacramento Centeno, Felicitas Torres y Socorro Torres, Ernestina Diaz, Fina Diaz, Paula Diaz Fernandez y Michael Fernandez, Jorge Diaz Martinez, parents Patrocinio Diaz y Delfina Gonzales, Siblings, Felix Diaz, Pablo Resendis, Dolores Diaz, Maria Catalina Diaz, Guadalupe Diaz. Number of grandchildren 41, number of great-grandchildren 10.
