Gary "Mike" Hendricks, Sr.
(December 5, 1950 - September 4, 2012)

Gary "Mike" Hendricks, Sr. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the age of sixty-one after a long illness. He was born December 5, 1950 in Gainesville, Texas to Frank Johnson and Ada Grace Hendricks. Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a Supervisor with the Texas Highway Department. He married Nedra Scott on February 7, 1973 in Gainesville.

Funeral services for Mike Hendricks, Sr. are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8th at Grand Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Lorne, pastor of Corinth Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers are Ronnie Hubbard, Tyrone Kelly, Jerry Don Henderson, Donald Manuel, Melton Stone and Larry Hennesy. Ed Orona, Delbert Hamilton, Tommy Scott, Ricky Scott and Charlie Scott will serve as honorary bearers. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Nedra Hendricks of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, LaCreasha and Royce Stille of Andrews, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Gary Hendricks, Jr. and Mia of Killeen; grandchildren, Tajh Kelly, Torey Kelly, Trayle Kelly and Garrett Stille; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy Don Hendricks of Gainesville, Jerry and Carolyn Hendricks of Gainesville, Aaron and Doris Mims of Gainesville and Ricky and Regina Hendricks of Wichita, KS; sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Wichita, KS, Janice Barlow of Wichita, KS, Alice Jackson of Gainesville and Cheryl Franklin of Dallas and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Taden Kelly; sister, Clementine Dean and brothers, Willie "Pug" Mims and Charlie Mims.
