Former Gainesville resident Clarence "Mott" Johnson passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at his home in Abilene.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at Meador-Clement-Keel Chapel with the Rev. Frank Lorne, pastor of Corinth Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation is set for 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at the funeral home.
Clarence was born Nov. 8, 1958, in Gainesville.
He was a Gainesville High School graduate. Mr. Johnson was formerly employed by Borden Chemical and Golden Corral. He loved to sing.
Survivors of Clarence Johnson include his mother, Gwen Johnson of Gainesville; father, Clarence M. Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif.; brothers, Thomas Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif., Richard Johnson of Callisburg and Marshall Johnson of California; special aunt, Doris Mims of Gainesville; and several nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Johnson.
