Obituary: Wednesday, October 11, 1995: Ellnora Elizabeth McDaniel, 74, of Thorndale, died Monday, Oct. 9, 1995 in Scott and White Hospital in Temple. She was born to Herman and Augusta (Moehnke) Fuessel on Sept. 19, 1921 in Thrall, Texas and attended school at Detmold. She was united in marriage to Pat McDaniel on March 3, 1940. She was a homemaker and during her early years she baked pies at home and was employed as resturant help and worked in several nursing homes. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Thorndale. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Pat McDaniel of Thorndale; four sons: Jerry McDaniel of Thorndale, Glenn McDaniel of Rockdale, Keith McDaniel of Bryan, Ervin McDaniel of Rockdale; three daughters, Patricia Wiseman of Copperas Cove, Karene Grafe of Brenham, Jeanine Kelm of Thorndale; three brothers, Herman Fuessel, Jr. of Salt Lake City, Utah, Erwin Fuessel of Thorndale, Alvin Fuessel of Austin; 26 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Visitation starts at 11:00 am Wednesday, Oct 11 at Phillips and Lucky Funeral Home in Rockdale. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Thursday, Oct 12, 1995 in the St John Lutheran Church in Thorndale with the Rev. Mary Kaiser officiating. Internment will be in the Locklin Cemetery near San Gabriel, Tx. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or St John's Lutheran Church or to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, Rockdale. 512-446-5454.
