A private graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville for Chad Carter, 33, of Lake Kiowa. There will be an 11 a.m. memorial service at Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home.
Chad was born June 13, 1977 in Sherman to Jimmye Carol (Dawson) and Louis Henry Carter, Jr.
He died Monday, June 6, 2011 in Era.
Chad was a 1995 graduate of Gainesville ISD and was a member of the golf team while in high school. Chad furthered his education by earning an associates degree in electronics from North Central Texas College and a computer science degree from Oklahoma State University in 2004. He loved to garden, play golf and was an avid sports fan. He was a computer specialist and a member of First United Methodist Church in Gainesville.
Survivors of Chad Carter include his parents, Jimmye and Louis Carter, Jr. of Lake Kiowa; daughters, Kymberlee Lou Carter and Keela Tessa Carter of Gainesville; sister, Misty Carter Sheppard and her husband James of Haltom City and nephew, Brady Reese Carter of Haltom City.
