He attended Callisburg, Sivells Bend and graduated From Gainesville High School in 1989 and later joined the U.S. Army. Chris took great pride in his service as an Army Ranger where he advanced to the rank of E-5 Sgt and was a veteran of Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Upon receiving his Honorable Discharge he set upon his career in restaurant management where he rose to the top in all jobs he had as well as having time for all his family. Chris is remembered by those who knew him for his zest for life, admiration, and impersonations of Elvis, his skill as a salesman, love of his family, as well as his competition in many marathon races including the White Rock and Boston. He richly blessed the life of all that were lucky enough to know him. He will not be forgotten.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, mother, brother, sister, and other relatives.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Banks, Sr.
