When William Andrew Work was born on February 28, 1910, his father, Wardia, was 20 and his mother, Mary, was 17. He had five brothers and one sister. He died on September 14, 2002, in Farmers Branch, Texas, at the age of 92, and was buried in Carrollton, Texas.
