When Jack Edward Clebons Gossett was born on August 5, 1905, in Copeville, Texas, his father, John, was 39 and his mother, Ida, was 24. He had one son and one daughter with Gladys Pauline Forehand between 1935 and 1938. He died on August 4, 1966, at the age of 61, and was buried in Carrollton, Texas.
