Mr. Mantell was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Mantell was a member of the Plumbers Local #68 and was retired having worked as a Plumbing Inspector for the City of Houston.

Mrs. Judith R. Gallant Mantell, age 67 of New Caney, passed away Monday, October 22, 2007 in the Conroe Regional Hospital. Mrs. Gallant was born March 12, 1940 in Houston County and had lived in New Caney since 1992 previously residing in Houston. She was a Harris County Probation Officer.
Survivors include her Highly Decorated Vietnam Veteran Husband, Andrew L. Mantell, of New Caney; sister-in-law Toni Childres, of Pasadena; special friend Cathy Bolton, of Channelview.
Preceded in death by her parents Gail Lawson Gallant and Minnie Irene Luce Gallant; and brothers Quinton Gallant and Doyle Gallant.
Funeral Services Mrs. Judith R. Gallant Mantell were held Thursday, October 25, at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Goss officiating. Interment followed in the McCarter Cemetery.
