When Emma Zinda Anderson/King was born on December 25, 1854, in Farmers, Illinois, her father, Jefferson, was 50, and her mother, Ellen, was 42. She married John Green King on May 16, 1869. They had nine children in 23 years. She died on December 1, 1908, at the age of 53, and was buried in Peacock, Texas.
