John G King of Peacock Found Dead In Pasture Aspermont, Texas November 30John G King prominent stockman living 6 miles south of Peacock was found dead in the pasture, near his home, Monday afternoon. He saddled his horse about 10 o’clock in the morning expecting to return home at noon. A search was instituted at 3 o’clock and the body was found lying face down showing no marks of violence, death apparently from heart failure.Mr. King was 73 years old and had lived at that particular place for 35 years. He is survived by his widow, 1 daughter and 7 sons.

John Green King was born on March 1, 1848, in Humphreys, Tennessee. He married Emma Zinda Anderson/King on May 16, 1869. They had nine children in 23 years. He died on November 28, 1921, in Peacock, Texas, at the age of 73, and was buried there.
