Miss Ida Janie Pettit married Ellis H. Clardy on 27 August 1905 at Ellis County, Texas. There were two children born to this union: Jesse Ellis Clardy and John Lesley Clardy.
She moved to Jermyn in 1957 from Mineral Wells.
Survived by her husband Oscar B Barnes, three sons - Floyd Barnes, Bill Clardy, Jack Clardy, one daughter - Mrs. Clara Mae Daughtry; two brothers; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
