Ola Cilio, age 90 of Bixby passed away on Tueaday, September 9, 2014 at Sand Plum Retirement Center, Bixby, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at Hilltop Memorial Park, Carrollton, Texas.

Arrangements under the direction of Metrocrest Funeral Home, Carrollton, Texas.

Emanuel Cilio was the son of Salvatore Cilio and Jennie Cilio. He had one sister; Tessie Cilio (B 1922). He was a native of Brooklyn/Kings New York. While going to High School, he worked part time as a chauffuer in New York City. Emanuel Cilio was a combat veteran of WWII. On 27 March 1939, Emanuel signed up for the Delayed entry program of the US Army and was assigned to How.Company 106th Infantry New York National guard. He went on Active duty on 27 Jan of 1941 and served until 25 October 1945 in which he mustered out as a Tec 3 (E6).

Emanuel decided to enlist again in May 1946 at Camp Hood (which is now Ft. Hood Texas). He enlisted at the rank of Technician 3d Grade (E6) in the Ordnance Branch of the Army. He was awarded the Combat Infantry's Man's badge in WWII which he wore proudly. Emanuel retired from the Army as a Master Sergeant (E8). He was a JROTC instructor at Thomas Jefferson High School in Dallas Texas from 1968 until he retired. He was the Chief instructor for marksmanship and Drill and Ceremony. He was the coach for the Rifle Team and the Drill Team. In 1993 Emanuel moved from Farmers Branch Texas to Sapulpa Oklahoma which is just south of Tulsa. In 1998, he moved to Pharr Texas. He also was a member of the Dallas Scottish Rite of Freemasonry Mason Organization until his death.
