When Ellen Cleone Bridges (nee Wells) was born on September 4, 1910, in Texas, her father, Coleman, was 27, and her mother, Jewel, was 22. She married Morris Otis Bridges on March 6, 1929, in Tahoka, Texas. They had one child during their marriage. She died on November 7, 1992, in Carrollton, Texas, at the age of 82, and was buried there.
