When Loy Williams was born on July 26, 1898, in Arkansas, his father, Calvin, was 29 and his mother, Minnie, was 22. He married Emma Doud on May 27, 1924, in Coweta, Oklahoma. They had one child during their marriage. He died on February 21, 1989, in Carrollton, Texas, at the age of 90, and was buried there.
