Emma Doud was born on July 28, 1904, in Oklahoma. She married Loy Williams on May 27, 1924, in Coweta, Oklahoma. They had one child during their marriage. She died on May 27, 2002, in Carrollton, Texas, at the age of 97, and was buried there.
