Services Sunday For L. E. Roper

Funeral services for Lee Eugene Rose of Gause were held at 2 p. m. Sunday, September 20, from the Gause Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis Walston Jr. officiating.
Burial was in Gause Cemetery under the direction of Heartfield Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Truman Ditto, Bryon Goode, Al Coats, Henry Simmons, Bill Gause and Ray Cass.
Mr. Rose passed away on Friday, September 18, following a lengthy illness. The longtime Gause resident was born at Vance on May 12, 1906 and was 64 years, four months and six days of age at death.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lois Rose of ; five sons, Lee Eugene Rose Jr., Robert Wirt Rose, Frank Preston Rose, Harold Don Rose and Larry Rose, all of Gause; five daughters, Mrs. Charles Shuffield of Cameron, Mrs. Stanley McCallum of Hearne, Mrs. Betty Hicks of Waco, Miss Vera Rose of Cameron and Miss Sue Rose of Gause; 12 grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Georgia Roper of Houston, Mrs. Blanch Dickey of Alameda, California and Mrs. Walter McGee of Waco; and five brothers, Howard Rose of Phoenix, Arizona, Alvin Rose, Louis Rose, MelvinRose and Ernest Rose, all of Waco.
