R.B. (Raymond Blanton) Putteet, 72 of Carrollton passed away Saturday, Feb 11th in Plano following an extended serious illness. Born In Lincoln County, Kentucky, he was the son of Raymond B. and Cora Blanton Putteet.

A resident of Lincoln and Casey County, he graduated from Middleburg High School and afterward attended trade school and graduated as an architectural draftsman. R.B. married May Jean Wethington in 1960 in Indiana. They moved to Dallas and the Carrollton area in 1969. Following retirement, he custom designed and manufactured furniture for professional offices.

R.B. was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carrollton where he was a Sunday School teacher for the Fellowship Class. He was also active in the Carrollton Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (Citizens Patrol) for which he recently received recognition as Volunteer of the Quarter for his photography work

Preceded in death by his father, he is survived by his mother. Cora Putteet of Carrollton; his wife, Mary Jean and a sister, Mary Lou Williams of Tuscon, AZ . And in addition two nephews, Ronnie Williams of Tuscon and Randy Williams of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, survive.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rhoton Funeral Home with services at 10:30 a.ml Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church of Carrollton with Pastor Richard Dunagin officiating and interment in Hilltop Memorial Park.
