MITTENTHAL, Louise 100, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 27th, 2015. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Louise was born and raised in Chicago and moved to Dallas in 1941. A lover of bridge, knitting, weaving and spending time with family, she had been an active member of the Dallas Woman's Club, Craig Class and the National Council of Jewish Women. Louise received a B.A. from Smith College in Massachusetts in 1936. While her husband, M.J., was serving our country in the army during World War II, she ran his mortgage banking and insurance business. Louise is survived by her two daughters, Mary Jane (Howard) Levine of Chattanooga, TN, and Pat Mittenthal of Dallas; her grandchildren, Jim (Jill) Levine of Chattanooga, TN and Matthew (Heather Gazan) Levine of McLean, VA, Nathan Wilhite of Seattle, WA and Rob Wilhite of Denver, CO; and her four great-grandchildren, Jake Levine (13), Sam Levine (11), Eli Levine (6), and Sidney Levine (5). Louise was predeceased by her husband, M.J., parents, Lillian and Edward Swartchild, and granddaughter, Margaret Levine. A memorial service will be held at Temple Emanu-El at 8500 Hillcrest Ave. on Monday, March 2nd at 11:00 AM, with a reception to follow at The Forum at Park Lane at 7831 Park Lane.
