Burnard Charles Wilson, 80, of Daingerfield, Texas, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2018, in Mount Pleasant. Mr. Wilson was born June 2, 1938. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, formerly employed with Lone Star Steel, Lone Star, Texas, a former member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Daingerfield, a member of Oak Street Baptist Church and an Army Reserve veteran.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild. Survivors include nine children, Janice Hamilton of Bowie, Md., Retha Walker of Wylie, Texas, Andrea Perry and Burnadett Hamilton of Dallas, Bobby Wilson and Arenta Baker of Mount Pleasant, Terrie Wilson of Paris, Texas, Barbara Parks of Wesley Chapel, Fla., and Shundra Tinnella Wilson of Little Rock; five siblings, Earlene Mills of Mesquite, Texas, Berma Runnels of Hooks, Texas, Claudia Johnson of Atlanta, Mary Porter of Los Angeles and Willie Mills of Wake Village, Texas; 27 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Street Baptist Church with Dr. L.B. George Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Douglassville, Texas, under direction of J.C. White Funeral Services.
