When Carl George Wilhem Frieling was born on March 22, 1898, in Nordheim, Texas, his father, Carl, was 24 and his mother, Anna, was 17. He had five children with Mildred Marie Miller. He then married Clara Olivia Graf in 1959. He died on November 13, 1968, at the age of 70.
