Amanda Clara Stevens was born on February 11, 1888, in Calhoun, Mississippi. She married Robert Dale Oswalt on November 13, 1910, in Chillicothe, Illinois. They had two children during their marriage. She died having lived for more than 100 years. She died on May 18, 1989, in Lake Jackson, Texas, at the age of 101.

When Robert Dale Oswalt was born on June 14, 1890, in Weatherford, Texas, his father, Mead, was 24 and his mother, Anna, was 18. He married Amanda Clara Stevens on November 13, 1910, in Chillicothe, Illinois. They had two children during their marriage. He died on November 4, 1963, in Galveston, Texas, at the age of 73.
