Maude Elise (Manar) Draper was born August 27, 1921 in Boswell, Oklahoma to J.A. and Daisy (Burkett) Manar. She attended school and grew up in Farmers Valley, Texas on the family farm. During WWII she moved to California and worked at an airplane parts factory. She returned to Chillicothe, Texas to help on the family farm. It is in Chillicothe while working at the local variety store that she met the love of her life, William C. Draper. There were married on August 16, 1947. They had three children; Mike, Jane and Steve. She became a full time homemaker, but was also active and supportive in her husband's hay/trucking company. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who was totally dedicated to serving her family, friends, church and her Lord, Jesus Christ. She was a member of the First Assembly of God where she taught a Beginners Sunday School class and was active in the Ladies Ministries of the Church. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, William Draper Her children; Mike Draper & Jeanette, Jane & Ken Robinson and Steve & Linda Draper, her 14 grandchildren & spouses; Ricky & Linda, Joe & Katrina, Yvette & Jason, P.J. & Rudy, Kyle & Amber, Kenda, Kade, Levi and Andrew. Her 6 great-grandchildren; Kayla, Allen, Kirsten, Bert, Ava & Willow. Her one great-great grandson, Karder. Two sisters Carrie Taylor and Betty Strayhorn Five sister-in-laws; Laverne Rush, Berneace Lapham, Lillian Barnes, Lorene Stinson & Nora Draper and four brother-in-laws; Wayne Strayhorn, James Rush, R.D. Draper & Doug Draper. And several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Five sisters; Josie Culpeper, Rose Vaughn, Dixie Shelnutt, Jetty Maddux, and Georgia Martin, Two brothers; Dan Manar and Mack Manar. The celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 3:00 PM at First Assembly of God Church 2430 Sand Road. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Pounds. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday evening at Sullivan Funeral Home. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends but to be absent from this life is to be present with her Lord for eternity. I Corinthians 5:18. Pallbearers will be grandsons; Ricky Draper, Levi Draper, Joe Draper, Allen Draper, Kyle Robinson, Rudy Cardona, Kade Robinson and Andrew Draper.
