When Fowler Thomas Hix was born on February 21, 1927, his father, Oscar, was 42 and his mother, Lillian, was 22. He married Jewell Ruth Bell on April 6, 1946. They had three children during their marriage. He died on November 20, 1985, in Longview, Texas, at the age of 58.
