CAMERON — Wanda Chaney, 70, of Pearland, loving wife and mpther passed away Friday at Houston Hospice after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with the Rev. Marcos Gohlke officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery near Cameron.
Mrs. Chaney was born on Sept. 29, 1938, in La Ward, to Harold Taegel and Dorothy Friday. She married Roy Chaney on Sept. 29, 1958. She was the office manager for her husband's small animal clinic for many years. Mrs. Chaney was a member of the Tivoli Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dr. Roy Chaney of Pearland; son, David Chaney of Tomball; daughter, Diane Dewease of Katy; four grandchildren, Lance Ryan Locher, Trent Locher, Meghan Chaney and Dalton Chaney.
The family of Mrs. Chaney would like to thank the doctors and staff of Houston Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion they showed to our wife and mother.
