When Roy Cravin Hofmann was born on August 17, 1907, in Wilbarger, Texas, his father, Rudolph, was 24 and his mother, Sarah, was 20. He had one son with Ruby Inez Roberson Hoffman in 1931. He died on May 31, 1992, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 84.
