When Paul Freddie Roberson was born on December 12, 1908, in Texas, his father, John, was 40 and his mother, Annie, was 27. He married Alice Arlene Rippy on August 17, 1930, in Hopkins, Texas. They had three children in 14 years. He died on November 27, 1986, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 77, and was buried there.
