When Bacyl Weldon Barnett was born on April 25, 1909, in O'Brien, Texas, his father, Charlie, was 26 and his mother, Maud, was 22. He married Hazel Margaret Johnston in February 1926. They had two children during their marriage. He died on April 22, 1957, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 47, and was buried there.
