When Anton Merius Bentsen/Benson was born on August 29, 1875, his father, Nels, was 28 and his mother, Ane, was 28. He married Minnie Knufen on June 11, 1903, in Taylor, Texas. They had five children during their marriage. He died on June 21, 1961, in Oklaunion, Texas, at the age of 85.
