Bertha Edna Clement (Young) was born on February 25, 1895, in Bell, Texas. She married John Marvin Young in Denton, Texas. They had eight children in 17 years. She died on August 28, 1980, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 85, and was buried there.

When John Marvin Young was born on November 4, 1892, in Italy, Texas, his father, Henry, was 44 and his mother, Virginia, was 25. He married Bertha Edna Clement (Young) in Denton, Texas.
