When Addie Lee McGee was born on February 22, 1906, in Athens, Texas, her father, Washington, was 51, and her mother, Ella, was 26. She married Leslie Lois Dorris in Quail, Texas. They had two children during their marriage. She died in September 1988 in Lakewood, Colorado, at the age of 82.
