Son of S. L. and Priscilla Jane Barker.
The Barker family settled on a land grant about three miles southeast of what was then Hulltown. In 1881 they moved to the mountains of New Mexico leaving behind a son in the Dennis Cemetery. he is in a unmarked grave.
