Funeral services for Cruz Barron, age 65 of Seminole, Texas will be held Monday, December 21, 2015 at Family Harvest Church at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Tod Delay officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Memorial Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Barron was born May 3, 1950 in Roby, Texas to Angelita (Flores) and Claro Barron, Sr. He married Virginia Ortega in Seminole on December 25, 1983. He was a member of Family Harvest Church and worked as a janitor for the Seminole School district. He always gave one hundred percent in everything he did, and never said no to anyone; he was known for having a big heart and being a very giving man. Cruz loved playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and in his spare time he enjoyed doing yard work and gardening. He was a diehard Texas Tech and Dallas Cowboys fan.

Cruz Barron passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Claro Barron, Jr.; and one sister, Josie Cuellar. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Barron of Seminole, Texas; four sons, Marty Ledesma and wife Helen of Lubbock, Texas, Marcus Ledesma and wife Elaine of Seminole, Texas, Mike Ledesma and wife Micah of San Antonio, Texas, and Ismael Ledesma of Brownsville, Texas; four brothers, Tony Barron of Hobbs, New Mexico, Alex Barron and wife Mars of Hobbs, New Mexico, Angel Barron and wife Yolanda of Lamesa, Texas, and Michael Barron of Lamesa, Texas; two sisters, Isabel Reynosa and husband Roberto of Rio Hondo, Texas and Janie Barron of Lamesa, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
