Funeral services for Bennie Thomas Haiduk, 69, of Seminole will be conducted Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Seminole, with the Rev. Joe Stewart officiating assisted by Deacon John Ivan. Interment will follow in the Gaines County Memorial Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole. He passed away Friday, October 26 in Odessa.
Bennie was born February 20, 1949 in Poteet to Thomas Daniel and Bessie Alice Haiduk. Bennie and Deborah Hardy Coates were married December 31, 1991 in Odessa. Bennie was a Baptist, graduated from Odessa High School and attended North Texas State University and loved his cats and dogs. He was employed by Quali-Tex Ball and Seat, formerly Sanbar Ball and Seat Inc. as the Vice President of Quality Control for over 39 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew James “Jamie” Bernard Haiduk II, and his aunt and uncle Lyd and Mary Ermis.
Bennie is survived by his wife Deborah Haiduk of Seminole; a daughter Mechell Dawn Haiduk of Decatur; three step-children Mistie Michelle Walker, Charles Thomas Coates and Anthony Newman Coates all of Odessa; a brother James Bernard Haiduk of Muldoon; one granddaughter Josephine Nichole Coates of Tokyo, Japan; along with his niece Wendy Lynch of Odessa.
