VERNON - Roma E. Wilkinson, 104, of Waco, Texas died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005, in Waco.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Symonds officiating. Burial will be in Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wilkinson was a retired telephone operator for S.W. Bell and a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathryn Hindman of Hewitt, Texas, and Carol Baldwin of Roanoke, Texas; three sons, Lee E. Wilkinson of Monte Vista, Colo., Tom F. Wilkinson of Leonard, Texas, and Ted M. Wilkinson of Watkins, Colo.; 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.

When Roma Ester Swain was born on April 7, 1901, in Peaster, Texas, her father, Milus, was 44, and her mother, Katherine, was 27. She married Harl Leon "Lee" Wilkinson on August 3, 1926, in Floydada, Texas. They had five children in 10 years. She died having lived for more than 100 years. She died on September 3, 2005, in Hewitt, Texas, at the age of 104, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.

When Harl Leon "Lee" Wilkinson was born on November 21, 1895, in Leonard, Texas, his father, John, was 27 and his mother, Caroline, was 18. He married Roma Ester Swain on August 3, 1926, in Floydada, Texas. They had five children in 10 years. He died on January 31, 1969, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 73, and was buried there.
