Funeral services for Nancy Dorinda Allen, age 59 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at West Side Church of Christ with Minister Ray Young officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Allen was born November 11, 1959 in Andrews, Texas to Willie Dean (Ballard) and Eldon Whitaker. She married David Kent Allen in Seminole on March 31, 1975. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. Nancy enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, and coloring. She was known as a very generous person and she loved her family dearly.
Nancy Allen passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 due to injuries suffered from an accident.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy Elizabeth Ballard; her mother, Willie Dean Durham; her husband, David Kent Allen; one brother, Randy Whitaker; and one granddaughter, Makayla Allen. She is survived by one son, David Allen and wife Rose of Seminole, Texas; one daughter, Stormy Torres and husband Armando of Crowley, Texas; father, Roland Durham of Seminole, Texas, one brother, Ronny Whitaker and wife Millie of Seminole, Texas; one sister, Deirdre Baker and husband Doug of Greenwood, Texas; seven grandchildren, Nichole Morales, Heather Mullins, Amber Allen, Kyla Torres, Katie Torres, Cody Allen, and Mercedez Roberts; four great-grandchildren, Xavier Torres, Xexilia Torres, Londyn Mullins, and Alynna Ramos.
