When Franklin Stever was born on April 8, 1913, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, his father, Leidy, was 24 and his mother, Emma, was 24. He married Lena May Fretz and they had three children together. He then married Mary Ann Riethmayer on January 3, 1970, in Wilbarger, Texas. He died on April 3, 1999, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 85.
