When Jackie Tom SLAPPEY was born on April 1, 1928, in Wilbarger, Texas, his father, R, was 20 and his mother, Jewell, was 22. He had one brother and one sister. He died on June 24, 1986, in Wichita, Texas, at the age of 58.
