When Ernest Lee Seawright was born on November 26, 1895, in Tippah, Mississippi, his father, Marion, was 23 and his mother, Nancy, was 23. He married Johnnie Melissa Jackson-Seawright on March 14, 1920, in Latimer, Oklahoma. They had seven children in 15 years. He died on April 21, 1985, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 89, and was buried there.
