Funeral services for Manuela Luna, age 96 of Seminole, Texas will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Seminole. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Luna was born in Ft. Stockton, Texas on June 5, 1919 to Facunda (Gallegos) and Bernardo Luitt. She married Candido Luna in Alpine, Texas on November 4, 1935. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. She loved serving her church and listening to Christian music. Manuela loved people and flowers. She was known for her beans and hot sauce; she was a wonderful cook.
Manuela Luna passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Seminole Memorial Hospital in Seminole. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Candido Luna, in 1978; five sons, one brother, and two sisters. She is survived by two sons, Ariel Luna, Sr. of Seminole, Texas and Anselmo Luna of Seminole, Texas; one daughter, Lupe Espino of Seminole, Texas; 27 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 50 great-great-grandchildren.
