March 6, 1848 - August 29, 1884
JAMES COLVIN BRYARLY was born on 6 March 1848 in Mount Vernon, Titus County, Texas to Thomas F. Bryarly (1808 - 1873) and Minerva Ann Hodge (1814 - 1878).
(NOTE: Franklin County lines were drawn in March 1875 out of it's parent county, Titus. Mount Vernon was originally part of TITUS COUNTY, until it was named as the County seat of Franklin County on April 30, 1875, about 27 years after James was born).
James married Nannie Stanton Williams on 16 September 1869 at Mount Vernon, Titus County, Texas (record held in Franklin County). James and Nannie had EIGHT children:
Annie Lucinda "Lucy" Bryarly (1870-?),
Bonnie Bryarly-Harvey (1870-1967),
Hattie M. Bryarly-Gaylor (1872-1950),
Lelia Fitzhugh Bryarly-Bonham (1875-1950),
Joseph Louis Bryarly (1877-1957),
Mary Bryarly-Nance (1880-1965),
Rebecca Lucy Bryarly (1883-1883), and
James Colvin Bryarly (1884-1887).
James died on 29 August 1884 in Red River County, Texas and is buried there at the Clarksville City Cemetery.
