When David E Lecklitner was born on June 3, 1898, in Clinton, Indiana, his father, William, was 28 and his mother, Ella, was 25. He had three children with Ethel Mae Smith. He then married Mary E Bogan on October 2, 1937, in Indiana. He died on August 30, 1958, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 60, and was buried there.
