Memorial Park Cemetery
Victoria County,
Texas

April 9, 1868 - January 10, 1940

EDWARD THEODORE MORROW was the son of Elijah Theodore Morrow (1839-1894) and Rosa Ann Perry (1839-1875).

Edward helped to build the Morrowville School, established in 1892 in Refugio County, TX; (Located at present day 264 State Highway 239 E, Tivoli, TX 77990-4560). The land was donated for $1 to County Judge J. H. M. Ryals on 10 September 1900, (Volume C of the Probate Minutes of Refugio County, Texas), and Edward Morrow was paid $12 per year for use of the school.

Edward was listed on the Membership Register of The Grand Lodge of Freemasons of Ireland for his Irish heritage. Edward was a farmer, rancher, and was designated as a School Trustee from 1892-1904. He appears in the Refugio County Clerk Records as a payee for school vouchers in 1894 & 1895. Edward's children attended the Morrowville School, and some of them taught at the school as adults. The school was destroyed by a tropical storm in 1934, and rebuilt that week, then it was destroyed by a fire about 1946 and was never rebuilt. The Henry Beck Morrow brick home replaced the school's location at some point after 1946, and descendants still live in the brick home.

Edward married Susan "Susie" Nancy Garnett on 20 Apr 1892 at Demings Bridge Church, Matagorda County, Texas, and they had TEN children of record:

Avis Dawn Morrow (1893-1984),
Francis "Frank" Edward Morrow (1896-1968),
Perry Banks Morrow (1898-1967),
Robert A. Morrow (1900-1962),
Brooks Irvin Morrow 1902-1969),
Henry Beck Morrow (1905-2000),
Edgar Theodore "Ted" Morrow (1907 - 2000),
Lawrence Garnett Morrow (1910 - 1985),
Ralph James "Jimmy" Morrow (1912-1935), &
Lois "Elaine" Morrow-Elledge (1915-1998).

Edward passed away on 10 January 1940 at DeTar Hospital in Victoria, Texas, and was buried at Memorial Park Cemetery in Victoria, Texas.
