Services for William Lewis Mode,63, of Houston and formerly of Cameron were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Marek - Burns - Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with the Rev. J. E. Lafferty and the Rev. Clyde Griffin officiating.
Burial was in Marlow Cemetery. Mr. Mode died Saturday in a Houston hospital.
He was born in Milam County and was a World War II veteran. He was also a retired permit agent.
Survivors are his widow, Judy Mode of Houston; one daughter, Mary Virginia Powell of Tucson, Ariz.; five sisters, Johnnie Baker, Henrietta Mode, Mary Mode and Norma Webb, all of Cameron, and Florene Houston of College Station; and one grandchild.
