When Joe E Haynes and his twin brother Pinckney Lee were born in 1897 in Texas, their father, Robert, was 35, and their mother, Paralee, was 29. He married Della J Dale on April 8, 1916, in Vernon, Texas. They had four children during their marriage. He died on October 7, 1976, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 79, and was buried there.
