VERNON — Ruby Priest Shultz, 86, of Vernon died Saturday, May 16, 2009, in Vernon.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Calvary Baptist Church in Vernon with Rev. Tommy Spencer officiating. Burial will be in the Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home, Vernon.
Mrs. Shultz worked for the Vernon Independent School District as a cafeteria worker.
Survivors include daughter, Judy of Vernon; sister, Opal Choate of Slaton, Texas; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church or to a favorite charity.

When Ralph Clifton Shultz was born on August 14, 1913, in Thalia, Texas, his father, Jacob, was 27 and his mother, Mamie, was 21. He married Ruby Mae Priest on May 31, 1943. They had one child during their marriage. He died on August 2, 1983, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 69.
