When Paul Oswald Schulz was born on August 28, 1893, in Warda, Texas, his father, Christian, was 30 and his mother, Magdalena, was 27. He married Emilia Ella Zoch on July 2, 1920, in his hometown. They had six children during their marriage. He died on May 20, 1964, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 70.
